Beautiful downtown Port Gibson will be the site of the 18th Annual Port Gibson Main Street Heritage Festival on Saturday, March 27, 2010.
The full day of activities begin at 8:00 a.m. with the Dilla Dash, a 5K walk/run. This Mississippi Track Association Grand Prix Event will take participants through the residential streets of Mississippi's third oldest incorporated town which should be in full spring bloom. Entry fee is nominal and each participant will receive a collectible t-shirt.

Artists’ Alley 2010 explodes with over thirty juried and up and coming artists and craftsmen. Event coordinator Ken McLemore said “I’m very pleased that so many demonstrating artisans want to come to the Heritage Festival. These talented people will be on Fair Street which will allow ample space to demonstrate. I’d like to encourage the public to watch and ask questions while the craftsmen work because they enjoy sharing their knowledge.”

The Japanese Magnolias are in full bloom and in a few short weeks the Azaleas will be abundant with color. These first signs of spring mean that it is time for the Port Gibson Main Street Heritage Festival which will be held all day on Saturday, March 27, 2010 in downtown Port Gibson. The event planning committee has been working since September to insure a successful, family oriented event.

Port Gibson Main Street and Disney Parks have joined together for the 18th Annual Heritage Festival. “Give A Day Get A Disney Day” wants to inspire people to volunteer a day of service to a particular organization in their community. Volunteers who commit to and serve with Port Gibson Main Street and complete the necessary paperwork with Disney will get a one-day, one-theme park ticket to Walt Disney World or Disneyland free.
